ScoutRV and Google Business Profile

Your Google reviews are the strongest social proof you have and they sit on a page you do not control. Scout pulls them onto the site, per location.

How it works

  • Reviews are synced per location, so a group’s store pages show that store’s reviews rather than a blended figure that flatters the weakest rooftop.
  • A dealership-level rating is computed from the locations rather than typed in by hand, so it cannot drift from what Google actually shows.
  • A synced review can be hidden, and the hide survives the next sync — otherwise every re-sync would resurrect it, which is the obvious way that feature gets built wrong.
  • A sync clears the caches the review displays sit behind, so a new review appears rather than waiting out a cache window.
  • There is a manual sync as well as the scheduled one, for when you have just asked a customer for a review and want to see it land.

Questions

Google Business Profile questions

Can we hide a review?+

Yes, and it stays hidden through subsequent syncs.

Do multi-location groups get per-store reviews?+

Yes. Each location syncs its own, and the dealership rating is computed from them.

How long until a new review shows?+

On the next scheduled sync, or immediately if you trigger one manually.
