ScoutRV and Lightspeed DMS

Scout pulls your inventory from Lightspeed automatically. You keep Lightspeed exactly as it is — Scout reads from it, it does not replace it.

How it works

  • Inventory flows from your DMS into Scout automatically on a schedule — no exports, no spreadsheets, no re-keying.
  • Units arrive with pricing, status, photos and specifications, and changes made in the DMS appear on the site without anyone touching the website.
  • Feed health is monitored. If your DMS stops sending, an automated check catches it within hours rather than when a customer calls about a unit you sold last week — a failure mode most RV dealers have experienced at least once.
  • Lightspeed API keys are issued per dealer, so a group running several Lightspeed accounts gets each store wired separately rather than blended into one feed.
  • Status changes — sold, on hold, pending — carry through, so a sold unit comes off the site promptly instead of generating leads you cannot fill.

Questions

Lightspeed DMS questions

Do we need to change anything in Lightspeed?+

No. Scout reads from Lightspeed; nothing about your DMS workflow changes.

How often does inventory update?+

On a schedule through the day, so pricing and availability stay current without anyone publishing anything.

We run multiple Lightspeed accounts across stores. Does that work?+

Yes. Keys are per dealer, and each store is configured as its own feed with its own location mapping.
