ScoutRV and Boat Trader
If you run a marine department alongside the RV side, the boats do not need a second system. Scout publishes them to Boat Trader as XML.
How it works
- The feed is served from a URL on your own domain and pulled by Boat Trader on its schedule, so there is no push window to miss and no credentials to rotate.
- Units are classified as power or sail from their category, and boat-specific fields travel with them — hull type, engine type, fuel type, horsepower and the rest.
- Only marine units go in this feed. The category filter runs before the file is built, so RV stock cannot leak into a boat listing.
- This feed sends your sale price. Base-price display is supported through the condition-level override, which substitutes the price before the file is built; the more granular make-and-model pricing rules do not apply to this partner.
- The feed is gated on status and go-live date, so a feed being prepared is not reachable until you say it is.

How does Boat Trader get the file?+
It pulls a URL on your domain. Nothing is pushed, so there is no missed-window failure mode.
The URL is returning an error. What is the usual cause?+
Almost always the feed’s status or its go-live date — both gate access deliberately, so a feed under construction is not served early.
