RV Web Services · Trader Interactive

The RV Web Services alternative for RV dealers

The pitch is proximity: your listings and your website on one account, from the company that already has most of your shoppers. The question this page answers is what changes when you want your own site, rather than the marketplace, carrying more of the load.

What RV Web Services is

RV Web Services is the dealer website arm of Trader Interactive, the company behind RV Trader. Its pitch is proximity to the marketplace most RV shoppers already use, with website management tooling built alongside the listings business.

What RV Web Services sells

Stated from public information, so you can weigh it yourself. Note that this is scope — what is on the price list — which is a different question from what any of it does to your lead volume:

  • Owned by Trader Interactive, the company behind RV Trader.
  • One vendor for marketplace listings and the dealer website.

Where ScoutRV differs

Proximity to the marketplace is real, and it is also the thing to weigh. A business whose revenue comes from listings is going to spend its engineering on listings, and the dealer website is the smaller half of it — which shows up as the platform work that decides lead volume arriving late: Core Web Vitals, AI-era search, structured data, conversion mechanics. That work is the foundation rather than a feature added later, and it is where our measured lead lift comes from. A marketplace is where you rent a shopper. Your own site is the only place you keep one.

Why dealers tell us they move

What follows is what dealers said when they switched. It is reported experience, not a measurement we made of RV Web Services’s product — we are careful about that distinction and you should be sceptical of any vendor who is not.

  • Dealers tell us the website is not the centre of gravity of the business — the marketplace is — and the product roadmap reflects that.
  • Wanting their own site, rather than the marketplace, to be where a shopper converts.

Where a cell says Not published, that vendor does not publish the information and we are not going to invent it. Where it says Varies by package, it genuinely differs by tier — ask them directly.

What actually changes

Across nine dealers who switched to us, the average is a 2.5× lift in unique leads in the first 30 days, measured against each dealer’s own pre-launch baseline rather than an industry benchmark. The range is 1.6× to 3.4×.

These are the dealers with clean, comparable data on both sides of a switch, not the whole customer base — the platform runs 60+ rooftops. We publish every individual result behind that average, including the weakest one — an average with no bottom half is not an average. For what it is worth, only one of the nine came in below 2×.

Common questions

Switching from RV Web Services

If we leave, do we lose our RV Trader listings?+

No. Your RV Trader account is separate from your website vendor. Scout sends your inventory to RV Trader as a standard outbound feed, alongside the other marketplaces you list on.

Which marketplaces does Scout feed?+

RV Trader, RV Universe, Rollick, Trailer Trader and DealerXchange, plus Facebook Marketplace and Google Vehicle Ads — delivered as a hosted feed or by FTP depending on what each one expects. Pricing in the feed follows your pricing rules rather than the raw price field, and every feed is watched by an automated staleness check, so a delivery that quietly stops is caught in hours rather than a fortnight later.

Why does it matter whether leads come from the marketplace or our own site?+

A lead from your own site arrives with the shopper already on your inventory, your pricing and your brand, and it is not shared with the dealers listed next to you. Marketplace traffic is worth having; it is just worth having as well as, not instead of.

Bring your current invoice and your lead volume.

We will map it against what Scout includes, in the open, on the first call.
